LARAIB GROUP
Laraib Group (“LG”) is Pakistan’s foremost and leading renewable energy developer with a tight focus on hydropower development in the private sector having proven capability to identify, conceive, license, design, finance and construct hydropower projects. The New Bong Escape HPP, Pakistan’s first hydropower IPP, was developed by LG thus laying the foundation and template for private hydropower development in Pakistan and catalyzing over 5000 MW of hydropower projects with private investment, of some US$ 10 billion.
In its current development portfolio, LG has interest in around 1000 MW of hydropower projects including 84MW New Bong Escape HPP now in its eleventh year of successful commercial operations having generated and delivered over 4 billion kWh to the national grid, 700.7 MW Azad Pattan HPP, 300 MW Ashkot HPP and 10 MW Sankya HPP.
